Sherry and Bill's Wedding

About Us

Thanks for visiting our web site. On this page, we'd like to share the story of how we met, and how our paths have come to merge.

We are a Eharmony success story!

We met for our first date at Macaroni Grill on November 12th 2011. I was a bit leery about the date, but followed all the right precautions by driving myself there and not giving too much information. I arrived early and waited inside the restaurant. I was getting slightly nervous when I heard a voice from behind me say "Hi, I'm Bill" as he came around me. When we sat down to eat, our conversation started immediately as if we knew each other, the server really could not get a word in edge wise. I felt really comfortable right from the beginning. He was very open about himself and seemed really genuine. His gorgeous smile was sincere and his demeanor and courtesy was that of a gentlemen.

We went on a couple of dates before the holidays to the movies and dinner. Then Bill did his usual trip to see his parents in Hawaii over the Christmas holidays. Even though we only went on a couple of dates, I missed seeing his awesome smile and being around his delightful look on life. After the holidays we met at a restaurant in Occoquan. By that time, I had already made up my mind that I wanted to get to know him more.

This past year has been wonderful! We have enjoyed spending time with family having our famous taco dinners, vacations together, simple things of watching a movie from home or going to our favorite movie theater, rocking at concerts, hiking to include a 2500 feet mountain in HI called Low-Back, going to the beach for a week, and enjoying a glass of wine with our home cooked dinners. Bill is a wonderful cook!! We have shared in each others passion like cycling, music, bowling, and home projects. The family pets, Punkie and Zach, adore him!! Bill proposed to me in front of my family on this past Thanksgiving and I said YES!

Bill is a smart man with a sincere and thoughtful heart. I feel very comfortable knowing that I can share with him all my thoughts, silly or not! He always helps around the house and I love that he is active and cares about his health. I look forward to many more awesome times, but also am realistic knowing that life is not easy. I know in my heart that he will be there for me as I for him through thick and thin. I love Bill, but just as important I am comfortable loving him.

Falling in love and having a relationship are two different things. I did not think that I would find someone to be in love with after many years of being alone but it happened and started with seeing a picture of a man sitting on a rock staring off in the distance in the Appalachians with his bike laying against the rocks. A picture that I hold near and dear and best of all - he is right next to my side. Life is funny! Enjoy it!

That first date, when I first laid eyes on Sherry, I had to resist the urge to walk right up and give her a peck on the lips. I don't know why, but I felt 100% at ease, and deep down, a part of me already knew she was the one.

I discovered she's a strong, self-reliant woman whom I can count on in all respects. She fit in well with my friends, and I love her family. We've been on vacations together, once with her family, once with my friends and once to visit my parents in Hawaii. Each time we've been great together, but we've also been good as a couple around those we love.

Sherry has gotten me started bowling in a league, and I've gotten her started cycling. We share a love of the outdoors, and often hike together. We both enjoy wine, concerts and my cooking. ;^)

I'm deeply, madly in love with her, and I'm looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together.
